Vintage injector razor8/13/2023 In the photo below, the razor on the upper right is a Pal Injectomatic. In all honesty it had been a > while since I had used the vintage Schick injector and I recall using the > blade that it came in the case with. It's been brought to my attention that in the text below, right is used to mean left, and left is used to mean right. > Froogle_Jimmy posted: “I was asked by a fellow wet shaver how the Supply > 2.0 compares to a vintage schick injector. Most of my razors cost between $10.00 and $30.00 in good working condition. As a confirmed single edge user who owns and uses in rotation dozens of SE razors, some of which go back 100 years and have been used for three and four generations of the same family, I feel obliged to challenge this unfair comparison. You are comparing a 50 or more year old $3.00 razor that has possibly been used hundreds of times against a modern $100.00 razor that has never been used. ****please note I am an affiliate for SUPPLY*** Just click the link below and prepare for amazing shaves! It is a limited time though so dont let it run out! Just click the link below and add the code when you are ready to checkout!!! A big thanks to my friends at SUPPLY for this code. *****LIMITED TIME OFFER***** Anyone can use the code ‘canuckshaver’ for 15% off your ENTIRE order. Hmmmm, since I have 3 boys do I need 3 of these? Sounds reasonable right? It is money well spent for sure and a razor that will last many generations. It is a great affordable modern razor in a world of +$200 razors at every corner. Not by a landslide, but a slight advantage in all the categories that I mentioned(besides possibly price). All of which look great….I kind of want to get a black one as they look BADASS! 9/10 Its available in mirror polish, matte black, and Jet Black. And it does come in three other finishes which may tickle your fancy more than the classic matte which I have. A simple straight forward design that I quite like. The Supply razor has a very modern yet classic look to my eye. Overall the Schick is a great looking razor. The gold head on this one is also gorgeous. The Schicks butterscotch handle is a favorite of mine when it comes to any vintage razor. I personally love vintages as much as I love my new modern razors. Both are super easy to use and find the right angle. But for myself I get a better shave with the SUPPLY, as I said earlier it isn’t leaps and bounds better, but I definitely get a better shave. So its hard to argue with someones personal preference. That said many guys enjoy lighter razors and use only vintages. I think overall the SUPPLY gives a superior shave. The Schick build quality can vary from 8/10 all the way down to 1/10 Just a super solid razor with ZERO worry of blade alignment issues or broken or cracked handle. The Schick Injector can be found for really cheap in the wild but you run the risk of improper blade alignment, broken/cracked handle etc etc……so for price I have to say N/AĪdvantage I would say Supply unless you can find a minty Schick for around $20-$30īuild Quality : Supply by a landslide imho. Price : The Supply 2.0 is $79 usd …….A great price for a modern razor with excellent build quality. This is definitely an aftershave worth trying no matter what your skin type. My face feels nice and supply with ZERO drying on my skin. The performance of the aftershave really shines. It then mellows into a nice citrus with a touch of hops. The aftershave is a BANGER!!! Lots of Hops and Bright Bitter citrus straight out of the bottle. The lather as always with the new T&S was awesome. Scentwise its a solid medium maybe slightly strong medium….excellent scent strength. I’m a huge fan of craft beer and mostly IPAs and Double IPAs so this was a no brainer for me. Tallow and Steel West Coast IPA was a limited edition set that I was lucky to grab. The Soap and aftershave are a personal fave of mine. The handle of the brush and razor seem meant for one another!!! Oh how I love BUTTERSCOTCH!
